Central Luzon State University will strictly implement the work from home scheme except those units involved in the delivery of critical services like security and health and emergency starting March 17, 2020 until April 13, 2020 or until such time the Enhanced Community Quarantine over Luzon has been lifted.
This is in compliance with the memorandum issued by Executive Secretary Salvador C. Medialdea dated March 16, 2020 reiterated further by the Civil Service Commission thru Announcement No. 13, s. 2020 issued on the same day.
As early as March 13, preventive measures against the widespread transmission of the 2019 Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) were formed during the emergency meeting of the CLSU Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council called by Dr. Edgar A. Orden, University President.
The Council which is chaired by Dr. Danilo S. Vargas, Vice President for Administration, with the key officials of the university (vice presidents, deans and directors); and unit heads as members, collectively formed the CLSU COVID-19 Prevention Protocol.
Pursuant to the Executive Order No. 006-2020 issued by Nueva Ecija Governor Aurelio Umali, dated March 14, 2020 after President Rodrigo Duterte announced the status of the National Public Health Emergency to Code Red Sublevel II, Dr. Orden also issued a memorandum on the suspension of classes from March 16 to April 14, 2020.
Furthermore, the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs shall be releasing a supplemental memorandum to the faculty with regard to class requirements and other student concerns related to the class suspension for the aforesaid period.
All clienteles and residents of the university will follow the strict implementation of the thermal scanning at the main gate, which will serve as the sole entrance to the university. Any COVID-19 related concerns may be communicated to the Quick Response Team (for contact information, please see table).
