SCIENCE CITY OF MUÑOZ – Get ready for an innovative, unusual and modern fiesta experience was staged by the Central Luzon Agriculture, Aquatic and Resources Research and Development Consortium (CLAARRDEC) during the 1st CLAARRDEC FIESTA or Farm Industry Encounter through Science and Technology Agenda held on September 26-29, 2017 at the Central Luzon State University (CLSU) Multi-purpose Gym.

The 1st CLAARRDEC FIESTA showcased the research and development breakthroughs in Central Luzon and the transcendence in Philippine agriculture through exhibit or product displays, forums, study tour, and other activities that benefited the farmers, students, and other interested clients.

Carrying the theme “Central Luzon: Modernizing Agriculture for Prosperous Farming Communities”, the celebration recognized the technologies that were generated and commercialized by the different agencies and State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in Central Luzon which will enable the agri-aqua sectors to raise productivity to world-class standards.

The opening program was keynoted by Secretary Emmanuel “Manny” Piñol of the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries who was represented by Director Willy Cruz of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources.

CLAARRDEC is composed of 30 member-institutions (State universities and colleges, and R&D institutions in Region III) with CLSU as base agency.
