Ramos, Acting Vice President for Administration; and Mr. Jaypee S. de Guzman, University and Board Secretary.

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through the Institute for Climate Change and Environmental Management (ICCEM), Energy Development Corporation (EDC), and the First Gen (FG) Hydro, held a partnership commitment signing on the establishment of a BINHI (Tree for the Future) Conservation Park at the ICCEM last November 29.

The BINHI Tree for the Future is a biodiversity preservation project of the EDC spearheaded by Mr. Ricky A. Carandang. It aims to rescue and secure threatened premium Philippine trees for future generations of Filipinos.

After the opening program/signing ceremony where Dr. Tereso A. Abella, CLSU president; and Mr. Carandang gave their respective message of commitment, a ceremonial planting of a Tindalo/Balayong tree, an endangered tree specie, led by President Abella was held on an area beside the ICCEM. The said area will rise as site of the CLSU-EDC-FY HYDRO BINHI Conservation Park. Thru the project, CLSU-ICCEM will take active part in “helping rescue, secure and plant more of our very own endangered premium trees”.
