Fulbright visiting professor shares expertise at CLSU

Dr. Khin Mar Cho

Dr. Khin Mar Cho, Senior Extension Associate Professor of Agricultural Extension and Food Systems, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Cornell University, New York, USA, will be sharing her knowledge and expertise to CLSU faculty and students as a Fulbright visiting professor for a period of three-months (August to October 2016).

Dr. Cho, a native of Burma (Myanmar), holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from Germany. Her second doctoral degree is on Agricultural Extension. She also has a degree in Nutrition. Her BS and MS degrees have Agronomy and Crop Science as fields of specializations.

Dr. Cho worked as Associate Professor for 10 years in Germany and she has been serving the same position in Cornell University for 11 years now.

“I am very excited and privileged to be with CLSU. I am very willing to share my extensive experiences, knowledge and expertise with the faculty, as well as with the masteral and doctoral students. Please use me,” she said.

Dr. Renato G. Reyes, director, CLSU Office of International Affairs; made arrangements for the coming to CLSU of Dr. Cho as visiting professor. His office also arranged and scheduled for her giving several lectures to faculty and students during her stint at the university, among other notable activities.

Dr. Cho also expressed her willingness to help CLSU in curriculum development especially in agriculture, fisheries, food science and technology, nutrition and even in social sciences.

CLSU President Dr. Tereso A. Abella, expressed his appreciation for the interest and commitment of Dr. Cho as a Fulbright visiting professor.
