CLSU receives NAST Outstanding Book Award

     The book entitled “Mineral Profile of Forages and its Influence on Goat Nutrition” authored by Dr. Edgar A. Orden, Dr. Ma. Excelsis M. Orden, Dr. Emilio M. Cruz and Dr. Tsutomu Fujihara of Shimane University in Matsue, Japan received the 2016 NAST (National Academy of Science and Technology) Outstanding Book Award.

     The award, together with a cash prize, was given during the NAST Convention held last July 14 at the Manila Hotel. The book contains “important scientific information and significant findings of 20-year research efforts… and thus will be useful to researchers and development workers whose primary objective is to improve the nutritional status of goat”.

     The University, through Dr. Fe L. Porciuncula, Vice President for Research, Extension and Training; and Dr. Tereso A. Abella, CLSU President; also recognized the outstanding feat of the authors via a Certificate of Commendation awarded to them during the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony last August 8. He thanked Drs. Orden, et.al for the honor they gave to the university for being among the authors of the award winning book.
