Undersecretary Rowena Cristina Guevarra, emphasized in her speech that in the acronym ASTHRDP (Accelerated Science and Technology Human Resource Development Program) the scholars' part is the "HR" and that being scholars means they are already members of the country's S&T Team.

During the parallel sessions, four alumni of CLSU (graduate program, 2014) whose study grants were funded by the DOST-SEI-ASTHRDP-NSC successfully presented their research outputs, namely: Joel A.
