25-Year CLSU Strategic Plan crafted

CLSU's 25-year Strategic Plan for the period 2016-2040 has been ?nalized. It was presented by Dr. Ruben C. Sevilleja, University President from May 1, 2007 to April 30, 2015, during the Workshop on the Quality Policy and Process Map last April 23-24.

To achieve the vision of CLSU as a world-class National Research University for science and technology in agriculture and allied fields, five strategic goals were identified. These are leadership in agricultural science and technology, excellence in learning, breakthrough knowledge and innovation, transformative and enabling teaching-learning environment, and maximum impact through proactive engagement. The key targets and milestones are as follows: CLSU ranked in the Top 300 universities in Asia by 2020; CLSU as a fully engaged university by 2025; CLSU as an Education-Economic Zone by 2030; CLSU as a comprehensive research university by 2035; and CLSU as a seamlessly integrated academic community by 2040.

Core values and principles comprising the "essence of CLSU" and make CLSU a great and unique university include quality and excellence, innovativeness and creativity, inclusiveness and stewardship, transformative and caring, efficiency and effectiveness, hard work and integrity, transparency and accountability, and commitment to public service.

The 25-Year Strategic Plan provides the road map for CLSU to ensure its providing excellent service to people and society. It's crafting was led by Dr. Sevilleja with the support of an executive committee created for the purpose.
