CLSU scores 80% passing rate in CPA licensure exam

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) posted a remarkable 80% passing rate in the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination administered last May 13. It is way above 37.53% national passing rate.

Eight out of ten examinees from the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) passed the examination.

They were among the 1, 995 passers out of 5, 315 examinees nationwide.


The new accountants are: Lualhati Balmeo, Ruby Mae Cahido, Ruby Ann Garcia, Jerymy Lumibao, Michael Jhames Marilag, Delria Natividad, Jennilyn Reboron, and Analyn Tugas.

CLSU performance in the examination made the university the top performing school in Region III.

In May 2011, the university registered 61.54% passing rate (16 passers out of 26 examinees) as against the 40.50% national passing rate. (With reports from CBAA Accountancy Section)
