Four graduates of the CLSU College of Veterinary Science and Medicine (CLSU-CVSM) landed in the Top 10 of the August 2011 Veterinarian Licensure Examination.
For this, CLSU got the most number of passers who made it in the Top 10. This outstanding performance of its graduates once more strengthened the CLSU-CVSM as Center of Excellence in Veterinary Medicine.
Errol Jay Y. Balagan, magna cum laude and valedictorian of CLSU Class 2011, placed second with an average of 85.36 percent which was only 0.08 short of the average obtained by the first placer in the recently concluded licensure exam. The other CLSU topnotchers are Kristine J. Esguerra, fourth place; Yasser C. Cabansag, seventh, and Allen M. Veloso, eighth place.
Thirty out of 47 examinees from CLSU passed the examination registering a passing percentage of 63.83 percent. The national passing rate is 36 percent.

All the 204 passers (out of 566 examinees from all over the country) will take their oath on August 29, 2011 at 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon at the Manila Hotel, One Rizal Park, Roxas Blvd., Manila.
