CLSU`s enrolment reaches 10,000 mark

For the first time, CLSU registered its highest enrolment which reached and breached the 10,000 mark. As of July 16, 2011, a total of 10,613 graduate, undergraduate and high school students was reported by the Office of Admissions as having officially enrolled. The increase in enrolment is largely attributed to the taking in of more than 2,000 first year students. By program, the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration registered the highest enrollment with 1,272 followed by Bachelor of Science in Agriculture.

On the other hand, by college, the College of Arts and Sciences has the highest enrolment with 2,377. The enrolment in the other colleges is as follows: College of Agriculture – 953; Business Administration and Accountancy – 1,470; Education, 1,860; Engineering – 1,232; Fisheries - 195; Home Science and Industry – 931; and Veterinary Science and Medicine – 350.

The Institute of Graduate Studies has an enrolment of 222. Meanwhile, The total enrolment in the University Science High School, Agricultural Science High School, and the three laboratory high schools is 1,023.
