Meaningful and fitting activities were held by the CLSU family to pay tribute to the university which turned 104 years last April 12.

The commemoration activities kicked off with the holding of a special Monday Flag Raising Program on April 11.
A streamer bannering “CLSU @104: Your Competitive Edge in the World”, installed at the flag raising ceremony area adorned by yellow and green ribbons, flowers and plants provided a festive atmosphere for the CLSU constituents who gathered for the Monday program.

The activity, was also a prelude to week-long celebrations in the university which featured not only the university founding anniversary but also the pre-graduation activities and the annual graduation exercises on April 15, and the grand alumni activities on April 15-17.

In his message, President Ruben C. Sevilleja urged the university constituents to continue rendering honest, efficient and effective service to the university.

Before the singing of the CLSU Hymn, Pres. Sevilleja led the other officials, faculty and staff in releasing 104 green and yellow balloons as a way of wishing CLSU a very successful and productive 104th year.
The anniversary celebration proper on April 12 was ushered in by diana and motorcade. It was highlighted by a recognition program for 13 retirees for rendering long years of committed and honest service to CLSU, and 72 service awardees who have 20, 25, 30, and 35 years or more of continuous efficient and effective service for the university.
All the honorees were given each a plaque of recognition. The service awardees were also given commemorative pins.
A testimonial lunch was also tendered by the university at the RET Cafeteria for the honorees.
