CLSU vets are in top 10 in licensure exam

wo graduates of the CLSU College of Veterinary Science and Medicine (CVSM) make it to the top 10 in the veterinary licensure examination given last August 2-4.

They are Eduardo H. Grivialde, 6th place, and Reginald D. Quila, 10th place. They are among 216 new veterinarians out of  696 examinees nationwide.

This is the nth time that CVSM graduates were among those on  top  in the said exam.  CLSU has been consistently  recognized as among the top performing schools nationwide.

The university registered a 48 percent  passing mark (20 out of 42 examinees).   The national passing percentage was 31.

Meanwhile, 67 graduates of BS Agriculture passed the licensure exam for agriculturists given last July 20-22. The  passing rate was 56 percent versus the national passing mark of  36 percent  (972 out of 2,689 examinees).

This performance placed the CLSU College of Agriculture  the second highest in terms of passing rate when compared to other schools nationwide  with  agriculture graduates who took this year’s exam.

The veterinary and agriculture programs of CLSU are recognized by the Commission on Higher Education as Center of Excellence along with the fisheries, engineering, and teacher education programs.
